Educator turned entrepreneur, Founder of Ask Sétu, Co-Founder of Adaptiv.Me

I began as a student of English Literature, once dreaming of a Ph.D. on the representation of women in Mills & Boon romances. But an exchange semester at Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg changed everything. In Germany, and later during visits to Denmark, Sweden, and France, I discovered the power of cultural exchange through languages. That experience pushed me to continue studying French at the Alliance Française de Bombay.
After completing my Master’s, I moved to Pune where I freelanced as a content writer while finishing my French studies. In 2005, I started teaching at the Alliance Française de Pune, balancing writing and translation alongside. Realising my true vocation was teaching, I returned to France to earn a Diploma in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE), and eventually, a Master’s in the field.
Nearly two decades followed, teaching French—first in Pune, then in Bangalore. Along the way, I launched French Jobs For Me, a newsletter for French-speaking professionals looking for jobs and upskilling opportunities.
In 2020, I shifted gears to entrepreneurship and co-founded Adaptiv.Me, an AI-powered platform helping students and professionals map their skills and design future-proof careers. A year later, my co-founder and I joined a French Tech incubator in Grenoble, immersing ourselves in the startup ecosystem in France.
Building on my twin passions for education and intercultural exchange, I’m also developing Ask Sétu, a platform supporting Indian students who want to study in France—helping them find the right school, prepare applications, learn French, navigate cultural nuances, and master the administrative maze.
Outside of work, I share life with my amazing husband and our beautiful dog, Arya. I love reading, teaching French, writing, talking, and cooking. My guilty pleasures include wine (blanc et rosé), single malt whisky, cider, cheese, mangoes, and strawberries.
